The Southeast Nebraska Collaborative is all about building a stronger community! They're working to improve the lives of families and individuals through collaboration, community events, training, and support.
The Southeast Nebraska Collaborative has three may programs. The first is the Community Response program. This program provides support and services to help families in crisis avoid unnecessary involvement with the child welfare system. The team works with families to resolve crises, set goals, and access resources to improve their safety and well-being. This program is typically short-term, lasting about one to three months.
The Southeast Nebraska Collaborative also has a Connected Youth Initiative. This program focuses on supporting young people who may be disconnected from their communities or facing challenges. They offer a variety of services, including:
- Youth Chapters: These groups provide opportunities for young people to connect with peers who have similar experiences, develop leadership skills, and advocate for issues they care about.
- Support Service Funds: Emergency funding is available to address basic needs for young people in crisis.
- Coaching: Evidence-based coaching services help young people develop skills, access resources, and build resilience.
This initiative aims to prevent young people from falling through the cracks and to provide them with the support they need to succeed.
The Southeast Nebraska Collaborative is additionally committed to bridging the digital divide in rural communities. They offer digital literacy programs to help people of all ages develop skills in using technology. These programs use NorthStar Digital Literacy materials to teach skills in operating systems, Microsoft Office applications, and internet safety. If you're interested in improving your digital literacy, consider reaching out to the Southeast Nebraska Collaborative for one-on-one or group classes.
