Cornhusker United Way was founded in 1982. We collaborate with community partners to mobilize resources and find sustainable solutions to meet human-care needs in our nine-county service area.
The organization’s resources are focused on four key areas:
- Education
- Financial Stability
- Health
- Essential Needs.
We understand the issues and evolving needs of our rural Southeast Nebraska communities, and passionately work to improve the quality of life for our constituents today, and for generations to come.
Diversity and Inclusion Statement
Cornhusker United Way strives to be a model of diversity and inclusion, with our board and volunteers reflecting the many faces, cultures and walks of life that make up the communities we serve. We respect, value and celebrate the unique attributes, characteristics and perspectives that make each person who they are. We believe that bringing diverse individuals together allows us to collectively and more effectively address the issues that face our communities.
Dimensions of diversity in any program or activity conducted or funded by the Cornhusker United Way include, but are not limited to, race, color, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity (including gender expression) sexual orientation, disability, age, marital status, family/parental status, income derived from public assistance programs, political beliefs, or reprisal or retaliation for prior civil rights activity.
It is our aim that our partners, strategies and investments reflect these core values.
